The short version

Stillwright is a native app for iPhone, iPad and Mac that lifts a full-quality still out of a movie. It has no backend and no cloud services. We — the developer — never receive, see or store any of your content or any information about how you use the app.

What we collect

Nothing. Stillwright does not collect personal data, usage analytics, crash telemetry, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, or any other information. There are no accounts to create and no sign-in.

Your movies and stills

• Movies you open and stills you capture are processed only on your device.
• The app accesses a movie only when you choose to import or open it, and only for as long as you work with it.
• Stills you save are written to the location you choose (such as Photos or Files) and stay under your control. They are never uploaded anywhere.
• Enhancement — sharpen, denoise and super-resolution — runs on-device using Apple frameworks. No image is ever sent off the device to be processed.

No network use

Stillwright makes no network connections in order to do its job. Your content never travels over the internet through the app.

Device permissions

Depending on how you use the app, iOS, iPadOS or macOS may ask your permission for the app to read a movie or to save a still to your photo library or files. These permissions are used solely to perform the action you requested, locally on your device. You can review or change them at any time in the system Settings.

Third parties

Stillwright contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not share data with anyone, because we do not have any of your data to share.

The App Store

If you obtain Stillwright from Apple's App Store, Apple may collect information related to your download or purchase under its own privacy policy. That processing is handled by Apple and is outside the app itself.

This website

This site (stillwright.app) is a static marketing page. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The only external request it makes is to Google Fonts to load its typefaces, which may record your IP address per Google's privacy policy. Nothing else about your visit is logged by us.

Children

Stillwright is safe for all ages: because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the date above. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect material changes.
